"Cheat Clients", "Hacked Clients" or "Utility Mods" for Minecraft Java Edition are modified versions of the game that give players a competitive advantage whether it is in player versus player combat, finding materials/bases, automating actions or much more that are impossible to do without using a client. Modified clients come in different forms: they can be injected into the game process, be .jar files that can be added to the vanilla launcher, be mods that can be used with a mod launcher or be their own custom standalone launchers. Most servers will have "Anti-Cheats" which will detect irregular/impossible actions from users and may result in users being banned. However, there are "Anarchy Servers" such as 2B2T where cheats are completely permissible.

Vape Client
Vape Client, developed by Manthe Industries, is a popular injectable cheat client for Minecraft Java Edition. It offers two versions: Vape Lite and Vape V4; Vape Lite is a "Ghost Client" which means it can bypass most detection and has more "legitimate" modules it is also "Screenshare proof" meaning it will not appear you are cheating if you are recording or sharing your screen to anyone. Vape V4 is a "Hybrid Ghost Client" with more blatant modules and settings. Since its inception in 2015, Vape Client has gained a strong reputation.
Impact
Impact is a popular free utility mod. It is developed by LeafHacker, Brady, and leijurv. It has baritone built into it which is a pathfinding tool, it also is updated regularly and has more advanced features than other free clients making it one of the most popular clients.
Future
Future is a popular paid utility mod. It has a wide variety of modules with ~108 modules and ~43 commands (as of writing) with advanced modules.
Liquidbounce
LiquidBounce is a free Minecraft hacked client that is maintained by the following developers:
It is an open-source client licensed under the GNU License and allows people with a GitHub account to contribute to its development. The client consists of a ScriptAPI utilizing Nashorn, allowing users to create scripts for the client in JavaScript.
The client is separated into two branches, Legacy and NextGen. Legacy is geared towards Forge 1.8.9, while NextGen is geared towards modern Fabric versions respectively.
LiquidBounce is not beginner-friendly; configuring the client requires past expertise in cheating for it to be used to its maximum potential. General Minecraft knowledge required for cheating (i.e., knowing how packets work) is not necessary but is recommended.
The client aims to be a blatant hack client; utilizing many features and bypasses to cheat on servers. The NextGen versions also seem to gear towards anarchy functionality. It is incredibly customizable, though the visual design, such as in the HUD and GUI, is lacking. Any features that are missing, lack bypasses, or lack functionality can be made up for with the ScriptAPI.
There are many forks of LiquidBounce (i.e., NightX, LiquidBounce++, Crossine), however, it is not recommended to use these as they don't improve the client besides adding bypasses. These forks also generally harbor horrible coding practices alongside a non-updated codebase. A user can easily achieve the same effect with the ScriptAPI.
You can learn more about LiquidBounce on their official website.

[Cyde]: Cyde is a YouTuber who creates Minecraft videos using hacked clients and has nearly 7,000 subscribers. He is known for locking these clients behind subwalls and ads. Cyde became notable for his involvement in the 2024 "AI Incident" involving a company called Tracer.ai. In response, Cyde took action by posting on Reddit, LinkedIn, and reaching out to Mojang via email. His efforts eventually caught the attention of a popular YouTuber with 2.5 million subscribers, PhoenixSC, who made a video highlighting the issue.
